Pay it forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying the kindness to others instead of to the original benefactor.
Receiving funds through the NMSAF’s Art Aid grant requires all recipients to abide by the Pay It Forward (PIF) agreement.
- All recipients are not required to pay the funds back to NMSAF as long as all PIF guides are completed
- All recipients are required to volunteer to the community, which will allow them to highlight their artistic discipline within the next 12 months.
- The artist decides how they wish to execute your PIF agreement
- The artist is responsible for locating their own recipient for the service
- The artist must provide proof of service. This can be demonstrated through the following options:
a) A formal signed letter from the person or organization. In the letter of validation, it must state what services the artist provided and the date the services were executed.
b) Photo documentation (Five images minimum)
c) Video documentation (Please use YouTube or Vimeo format)
d) A combination of the three options above.
- If documentation is not provided within the 12 months after the grant is issued, the entire grant will revert to a loan and will be required to be paid back to the NMSAF. If funds are delinquent, there will be a 1.5% monthly finance charge until paid in full
